 In this location there is strong evidence and findings that these walls with huge stones were the palace of Odysseus.

Low on the hill just approached the first samples of the excavations is the Melanydros source as Homer tells us , in this descending the maids of Penelope to collect water. In the area you will see the remains of several buildings of Mycenaean era and the ruins of the church of St. Athanasius that was built over with pieces of the palace. You will see carved stairs, halls, walls sections Mycenaean causing questions about how it was built. Before you visit the site ,it will help you to see the model of the palace erected on the square of Stavros so you can have a better look at the site.
