Great service, disappointing owner and pricing
I visited Mills Restaurant in Kioni harbour and had a very mixed experience. The service team – mostly Cuban – was excellent: friendly, attentive, and clearly committed to making guests feel welcome. At one point, they even mentioned privately that the owner’s behaviour was “out of his mind,” which unfortunately matched what I observed. The owner was smoking right around the tables, creating an uncomfortable and unpleasant dining atmosphere. In addition, the pricing felt unreasonable: I was charged up to €10 for a shandy, which is far above what you would expect for a simple drink in this area. The restaurant is in a beautiful spot in Kioni, and the staff deserve credit for their professionalism. However, the combination of the owner’s behaviour and the inflated drink prices seriously damages the overall experience and is a shame for such a lovely destination.
