Placed In side of Niritos mountain near to Hommer Laerti's field under the protector of lthaca "Virgin Mary of Kathara", point in which north Ithaca join the south and the Ionian sea appears also from two sides of island, in altitude of 180 meters.

The famous Dimia's chani, from Doriza family of Vathi. With History....In this"chani" were getting rest the passengers and accepted water, loukoumi, coffee, bread and cheese from the flocks of old man - Dimias, his son Konslantis and his bride Baggeloylas. The Lord Byron was entertained there, going to the Hommer's School. Also, because of its possition was used as observatory in second world war.

Today in the same place "CHANI" revives from us, the grandchildren of the family, turned in coffee-bar and beside the new building of our restaurant which is allocated for weddings, parties etc.

The restaurant

In the same place functions also our new restaurant, with Greek traditional cuisine, with gastronomy proposals and gourmet varieties. Continuing our familial traditional we are experts in our meat dishes and chesse gourmet. That's why we propose to you taste lamb chops, pork, kontosoubli. kokoretsi grilled on coals, unique flavors......

We also propose to you taste chicken "tserepa" (local traditional recipe), goat "gioybetsi or goat in the oven with oil & oregano. cosset stuffed with sundried tomato, although tagliateli with chicken and pesto sauce from roasted pepper. Taste our famous "fava" with aromatic oil, souvlaki with "haloumi" cheese, flogeres with sweet white cheese and our traditional pics. Separate place in our menu have fresh fishes and the seafoods, fish soup and spaghetti with lobster.

We are waiting you for unique taste, in low prices, daily all the summer season, from the midday up to late at night.

Cofee Bar

The old building of 18th century was shaped in a modern coffee-bar. From here you may begin your day enjoying your coffee, complete breakfast or juice. Continue with various snacks, pizza, varieties of meat dishes or seafood. Do not omit to try our traditional almond pie and nut pie served with ice-cream we make with a lot of taste for you.

The coffee-bar "CHANI" is ideal place for relaxation and not only...

At the sunset the magic of place is linked with splendid colors of sky and nature.

When henceforth comes the evening, in "Chani" there is a party.....,

that keeps up to the first morning hours.

Cofee-bar"chani" means hours of relaxation and nights of mirth, accompanied from many events, secular appearances, Greek way of amusement and cosmopolitan parties.
