Perachori - chapel of St. Paraskevi
Written by chris ithacorama on 01.10.2013At Perachori, high in the mountains above the village is the church of Agia Paraskevi, which is celebrated on July 26 the is a small stones church, in a fairly good condition, with Byzantine icons and newly refurbished temple.
Dating from 1800, without having clear and accurate information about when it was built. With the earthquake of '53 collapsed and then rebuilt.
The path to it is steep and the road is long, but it has an amazing view of Ithaca and the southern seas.
