Saint Theodore the Sanctified

In Piso Aetos just before the archaeological site of the city of Alalkomenes is the chapel of St. Theodore the Sanctified, who was a student of St. Pachomios.
It is said that there is only one more chapel dedicated to this Saint in Crete.
It was built about 150 years ago and belongs to the parish church Assumption ( Gardelaki ) .
In the 1953 earthquake it was destroyed, but rebuilt again.
The picture that is painted there is from 1899 as indicated on it. The memory of St. Theodore honors on May 16. This day is celebrated liturgy.
