Dexa beach is narrow beach with shallow water, situated 1.5 km north from Vathi along the road to Aetos and northern Ithaca. The beach is ideal for families with children and it has been awarded the blue flag.
The beautiful beach of Agios Ioannis is located on the west coast of Ithaca. The road from Lefki is difficult, with hairpin turns on a steep track that ends about 100m from Agios Ioannis beach, a path then leads down past the windmill. Agios Ioannis beach has no shade and no facilities but still remains one of the most stunning Beaches of Ithaca due to its exceptional crystal clear waters. Definitely worth visiting are the gorgeous little Beaches in the area to which you can walk or swim to from the main beach.

Filiatro beach is probably the most popular beach on the island. his beautiful pebbly beach is surrounded by olive trees and has camping facilities.
The area of Platrithias lies 20km from Vathy and only 3km from Stavros village and it has been inhabited since the ancient years. I n the middle Ages due to the presence of pirates population moved to the mountains.
