The temple is located in Area Vounaki in Vathy. The chapel was built in 1840 and extended by families of Vlassopoulou. There was a cemetery until 1953.

Near Perachori, 3 km southwest of the village in the area of Vouni there is a monastery of the Archangels.

The chapel is located in Perachori and it is dedicated to the Assumption of St. John the Theologian who is celebrated on September 26.

At Perachori, high in the mountains above the village is the church of Agia Paraskevi, which is celebrated on July 26 the is a small stones church, in a fairly good condition, with Byzantine icons and newly refurbished temple.

Dating from 1800, without having clear and accurate information about when it was built. With the earthquake of '53 collapsed and then rebuilt.

The path to it is steep and the road is long, but it has an amazing view of Ithaca and the southern seas.

Rizes Cave lies beyond the village of Perachori, before the path leading to the Homeric Arethousa Fountain in the area of Anemodouri.
